Have a new Wacom STU-300 tablet but cannot get it to work with software version 6.3.1.0 Professional. Purchased the tablet because the website says it supported Wacom tablets. Any help appreciated. Really new user. Thank you!

Hi,

The tablet STU-300 is LCD based tablet in the Industry Specialties section. All the other Wacom models are supported via Wintab. According to the information I can find, Wintab functionality needs to be available but we cannot test it because we have no tablet here. We have tested CardExchange® with the Bamboo series and have no problems. It can be that to support this tablet, a new SDK needs to be embedded. If you have installed all the drivers that came with the tablet and if you click on the Capture Signature button in the main interface and it informs you that no tablet has been found and that the mouse will be used, development probably needs to be done.

Please let us know if the tablet is working at all if you have select "Wintab compatible devices" in the Signature options window...

No drivers are provided, says that it must be supported by 3rd party. I tried Topaz and Wintab.

As you can see in the specs, this tablet can only be supported when the SDK for this tablet is embedded. Normally the drivers of the other Wacom tablets, like the Bamboo, take care of the communication with Wintab. That means that this specific tablet will not work with CardExchange® until the SDK is embedded. We need to investigate how much time it will cost to embed this into CardExchange®.

HI Gang. We have been using the Wacom stu-300 since the beginning with this laptop and program but since the issue where I had to roll back to version 6 the tablet is not recognized by the software. The wires have been checked and it still shows up in devices on the laptop.

I found a zip file you had sent me in the beginning. I am going to see if I can install that and it should fix the problem
