We have been using Card Exchange since 2014 replacing another program. We recommended the program to the Santa Barbara Police Department. They have now purchased the system.

We have two databases (children, adults). The children's database is fine. However, I have a problem with the adult database. When I launch the card designer I get the picture of a "finished" card, not the links to the database. It is always the same person. Any ideas? The children's card designer works properly.

I hope to transfer the adult files to them and modify for their particular use.

Hi David,

When you go into the card designer you can select each field on the design, then in the properties window, you can see if it is linked to a database column or not.
If it is set as fixed text, then you can click on the source drop-down and select the desired database column to link that field too.

Hi Craig,
Perhaps I did not explain myself well. When I launch the child card designer it shows the database links (e.g. {FirstName} {LastName},etc.) as it should.
When I launch the adult card designer it show an image of what would be a printed card (e.g. MINA BROWN). This is totally bizarre.
I have tried using a card files from a previous release but the result is the same.

It sounds like something has happened to the adult card design, is it possible that you could export this using the option under the configuration tab and email it over so I can take a look?
