Im unsing CX with an Access database..
I have 2 questions...
Is it possible to automaticlly write the date and time to a filed in the database whenever changes are saved?
Is it possible to write the path and filename of the photo to a field?
Thanks for using the forum to post your questions. The answers are:
1. No, this is not possible. In a database like SQL Server, you could define a trigger that updates a date/time field whenever the record is updated. Microsoft Access doesn't have triggers as far as I know and CardExchange can only update the date/time field when printing the card.
2. In the photo mapping you define where photo fies are stored, including the path and the extension if these are not in the database. You could define a storage item for the photo path and use the concatenation mapping to add the path and the extension to the file name. However, as is the case with storing a date/time, this is only done when printing the card and not before.
