How do I store photos in the database? #2542
Hi Gaston,

If you are using point-to-image, you need a column in the database that contains at least the file name. CardExchange can add the path and the extension, but it is also possible that the path and extension are already stored in the database field.

What CardExchange cannot do is fill this field for you. The field determines where with which file name the photo is stored, not CardExchange, so the field must contain data.

If you want to have a field that contains the entire photo path, rather than only the file name, you can create that field in the database and fill it at the moment you print a card with a storage item. This storage item should be mapped as a concatenation mapping, so that you can concatenate the path, the file name and the extension.

regards,
Rutger.
