The CardExchange solution software print problem #6893
Using the software to print on HPD5000. When I view a card that has color on both sides on the screen and then I print the card, it only prints black on the back and it also skips Red on the front. I have changed ribbons and gotten the same result.
The CardExchange solution software print problem #6895
There are a couple things to check in regards to the printer, first will depend on if the printer is using XPS print engine or GDI+ print engine and to test this you can modify these settings located card designer. Go to the configuration tab, then choose card designer. Once card designer is open go to the top left blue drop down tab, then page setup, then template tab. Under this template tab you will see at the bottom in printer options a checkbox for "print using the GDI+ print engine" which is checked by default. You will also see "enable pre-rendering of objects into the background image" these two options tend to go hand in hand and for testing purposes try to cycle between the two by unchecking and checking the boxes during testing. Send a test print and it will either help or hinder the print process. if it helps leave it, if it hinders return it to the check boxed default state.
The next thing to check is the printer properties. Since CardExchange has little in the way of printer settings itself and pulls ALL printer properties directly from the windows printer driver properties is important to ensure that the settings are correct to get the best print results. After you close designer and return to the main application go to the print tab and then print properties. Here you will open the printer properties directly from the windows driver and it is here you will make any modifications to aid in the print quality.
If the print quality is good when printing externally of CardExchange then ensure the both the windows driver printer properties and the printer properties settings within CardExchange matchup as they can be setup differently so open up the printer properties within the windows driver and then open up the printer properties within CardExchange and ensure they matchup with all the settings to each other and then continue to test to ensure the quality of the print jobs.
